As a public entity, the mission of the City of Franklin is to serve the taxpayers and citizens of the City of Franklin, to provide services and protection necessary for the health and welfare of all its citizens.  While the Board of Mayor and Aldermen are responsible for deciding on the city's policies and procedures, the day-to-day activities and implementation of these policies, ordinances and codes are carried out by the employees who are organized into units called Departments.
