Location: Women's Residential Services, 24647 N. Milwaukee Rd. #102, Libertyville, IL 60048

Description:

Responsible for monitoring unit, including crisis intervention, including routine room checks on night shift and alone.Takes responsibility for training in and documenting clinical chart requirements to meet program and state standards. Provides atmosphere of customer service in assuring that clients are treated in a friendly and respectful manner. Focuses on client empowerment in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build on strengths in addressing treatment needs. Provides education and direction to clients, family members and/or significant others. Organizes and participates in treatment-related clinical conferences and staffings on assigned clients. Develops individualized treatment plans and conducts individual group and family counseling, as appropriate. Responsible for the security and safety of the clients and children on the unit. Provides direct services to clients including individual and group treatment. Facilitates with clients and collaborates with the treatment team to develop, review and update treatment goals and referrals both internally and externally.

Requirements:

Required Skills

Requires an Associate's degree with emphasis in behavioral sciences or related field, or a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate. With an Associate's degree, no experience is required. With a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate, three years of experience in the chemical dependency/ mental health field are required.

Experience working with the dually diagnosed population and a residential population a plus, but not required.

Must be certified as an Alcohol/Drug Abuse Counselor by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Board (I.A.O.D.A.P.C.A.) or have equivalent certification by a similar state or national board or be licensed by the State of Illinois as an Physician, Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker (L.S.W.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.), Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C.) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (L.C.P.C.) within 24 months of employment. If a recovering person, must have two years' demonstrated sobriety.
