The Parks & Recreation Department is continuously in search of recreation leaders and instructors with special skills and interests, as well as seasonal park maintenance and horticulture personnel. The department offers part-time, temporary employment opportunities in a wide variety of program areas. Current Openings

We are currently accepting applications for these positions:

Lifeguards (September - November)

Lifeguards provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere at a community swimming pool while swim lessons are being administered. Enforce all departmental and pool policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized pool area.

 Must have Red Cross lifeguard certification, CPR, and first aid certification.

Tennis Instructor (September - October)

Instruct adults and youth with levels ranging from 2.5 to 3.5.

Before/After School Staff (September - June)

Provide positive leadership and supervision for boys and girls grades K-6. Prefer experience working with school age children. Background in education a plus. Must be prompt, reliable, and dependable.

Gymnasium Supervisors (October - March)

Supervise gymnasium areas while scheduled activities are taking place and enforce rules and policies. Monday - Saturday.

Soccer Instructor (September - March)

Basic knowledge of soccer skills for youth instruction. Must be enthusiastic.

Basketball Referees (November - March)

Playing experience a must, officiating a plus. Individuals must be prompt, reliable, and dependable.

Basketball Instructor (September - March)

Basic knowledge of basketball skills for youth instruction. Must be enthusiastic.
