Perform analysis, evaluation, planning , design and implementation of State of Vermont Information Systems in order to optimize the information technology solutions and physical/logical architectures with the state.

Areas of responsibility include existing and new technology in all areas of information technology such as processing and storage, virtualization, operating platforms, operations, network, applications and security. Overall Management of State data center infrastructure capacity (Private/Public Cloud) including physical and virtual components, design, capacity, performance and lifecycle replacement.  Establishment and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture program engaging both business and IT professionals throughout the State aligning IT Project Portfolios with business objectives.  Works with and for the Enterprise Chief Technology Officer (ECTO), IT managers and Enterprise project managers to ensure the physical, virtual and logical architectures as a whole are appropriately aligned with business requirements and being leveraged to maximum benefit and ready for future scalability, interoperability and agility. Position reports to the ECTO.
