JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Department of Mental Health is a drug-free workplace. All candidates will be required to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug test.
This position is located on the G. Werber Bryan Psychiatric Hospital Campus, 220 Faison Drive Columbia, SC 29203
BPH is a SMOKE FREE CAMPUS.
Under general supervision of the Program Manager I of Planning/Human Resources, serves as the DIS Human Resources Manager/Supervisor.  Plans and coordinates classification, employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, records management and other human resource activities.  Provides professional human resource assistance to all levels of staff.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and experience in human resources management programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

NOTE: THESE PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ARE DESIRABLE, BUT NOT MANDATORY, FOR APPLICANTS TO BE CONSIDERED QUALIFIED FOR THE POSITION.
Must be knowledgeable of principles and practices of human resources management.  Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.  Ability to analyze needs and resources and develop appropriate recommendations.
