| Description: |
Solution Architect: Provides technical leadership in the planning, design and architect phases of information systems development. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends solutions using advanced architectures and technologies to facilitate rapid development and implementation. Understands key vendor products and differentiating features. Works with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into detailed architectural approaches and product specifications, creates realistic development plans and schedules, evaluates and prioritizes requests for changes and enhancements. Understands business needs as well as customer and market requirements. Applies creativity, in-depth technical and theoretical knowledge, and experience in solving highly complex architectural design problems. Recommends new technology directions or options. Communicates technology design and any related issues to technical and non-technical audiences including customers and technical partners. Prepares and documents product architecture plans. Assists in the design of technical testing methods to meet target product scalability and performance objectives. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the organization's technology architecture needs. |
| Requirements: |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in math, engineering, computer science, business, or information technology related field plus seven (7) years professional experience in planning architectures in different environments such as: web, client-server, thin client. Experience utilizing performance-based enterprise tools and strategic planning with a successful track record in delivering medium to high-risk programs is required. Effective oral and written communication skills are also required. Proven experience in leading, building and implementing Enterprise Information Architecture solutions in medium to large organizations. Competency in The Open Group Architecture Forum (TOGAF), Zachman, or similar methodology and framework is a plus. COGNOS, Oracle, SAP and PMP experience is a plus. An eleven (11) year combination of specified education and/or experience will qualify. |
