Nature of Work:  Assists the Day Camp Director and/or Facility Supervisor with planning, organization, implementation and teaching of the day camp program. The counselor should plan to assist/or substitute for Day Camp Counselor I or Camp Director.  Experience and strong interest in working with children in a recreational setting and be able to work independently with groups of children.  May exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. 

Required Qualifications:  Minimum of 18 years of age.  Knowledge of behavior management and instructional methods.  Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and implement a day camp program.  CPR/AED and First Aid certification required by start of employment.  Must have a valid Driver’s License. 

Desirable Qualifications:  Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting. 

Work Schedule:  Five days per week, 8 hours per day (Monday – Friday).  May be some flexibility.
