Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This position manages and is the lead staff member for the Conservation Districts Program in the Director's Office of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Nevada has 28 Conservation Districts located throughout the state. The position works with public/private partners to identify additional funding for district projects, handles State Conservation Commission meetings by assisting with meeting coordination, regulation review/amendments, and serving as meeting staff. The position also works with individual districts by providing information and assistance, as well as provides oversight of the Grants-to-Districts program. Additional duties include assisting in educational/awareness activities that raise the profile of Nevada's Conservation Districts and supervision of three regional conservation districts program specialists located in rural Nevada.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. |

Appointment to any level in this series requires successful completion of a written examination. |

Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. |

Experience working with and/or staffing a board, commission or council. |

Experience and activities in relation to public and/or stakeholder outreach. |

Experience with strategic planning or leadership development activities for which you have had all or some responsibility. |
