Deputy Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations

Summary:

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations. The Deputy Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations will fully support the Director in the development and execution of human resources policies and programs and play a key role in the effectuation and management of all human resources functions.

Description:

The Deputy Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations will serve as 2nd in command to the Director. Primarily he/she will be responsible for all aspects of Labor Relations, Employee Relations to include EEO, Training and Development and Policy and Procedure standards. He/she will be responsible for developing business strategies and collaborating with external/internal clients. He/she will lead the work on HR Regulations with Policies and the Civil Service process with respect to formulation and maintenance i.e., City Ordinances, current/new laws and regulations to ensure adherence with the City Charter, Ordinances and Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Requirements:

Degree in Human Resources at Bachelor or Master-level

Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification, preferred
