Web Design Analyst /Programmer III

Description:

This leadership position has multiple responsibilities for creating/maintaining the functionality of www.phoenix.gov which has over 12 million visits per year. This involves developing a graphic design that effectively communicates the ideas of internal customers. This requires a mastery of HTML and web site production that make it possible to add special features and incorporate a variety of different functions including content management, business forms, collaboration, portal services, business intelligence, surveys, trending, reporting and search services.  The ITS web application support and development team is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a senior level web design with a programming background and technical support role. The candidate will work closely with city departments and staff to maintain and support the main City of Phoenix web site and various extranet and intranet sites.  Responsibilities will include; design, support, migrations and modifications to www.phoenix.gov for the enterprise and individual departments.  This position is instrumental in the achievement of advancing the business goals and objectives of our customers.  The candidate will be directly involved in product management, development, user design, testing and release management.  As the sixth-largest city in the United States, the City of Phoenix is poised for the future, with many high-visibility IT programs and projects.

Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To meet the minimum qualifications for this recruitment, you must have:

-        Three years of experience in Web design and a strong understanding of the HTML, Javascript, CSS and HTTP.

-        Three years of experience with strong skills in C#, a professional programmer certification and should include a working knowledge of modern application frameworks such as MVC.

-        Three years of Content Management background

-        Three years of experience working with SharePoint collaboration solutions.

-        Team focused attitude and strong communication skills.

-        Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field (an additional four years of experience can be substituted for the bachelor's degree).

-        This is a salaried/exempt position, and incumbents must have the ability to work after hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Includes the job requirements listed above, plus:

-        Possesses excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills working across multiple technical domains and teams.

-        Ability to learn other technologies and willingness to work with multiple programming languages across a variety of platform.

-        Extensive knowledge of modern web technologies and frameworks.
