Denver International Airport is looking for an IT Communications Technician to join their team.
This IT Communications Technician will perform work associated with the installation, repair, alignment and maintenance of various types of electronic equipment. This position’s primary responsibility is repairing radio equipment including a HARRIS EDACS Simulcast System. Including but not limited to trunked & conventional radio systems, mobile data equipment, audio and video security systems and public address systems.
This position is responsible for maintaining the operation of DIA's Public Safety Radio, Wireless Communications and other associated systems that directly support first responders, airport operations, tenants, and the traveling public. This includes the installation of radios and equipment that support all First Responders, Operations, Maintenance, and snow operations. Candidates must be willing and able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be prepared to support an emergency crisis and snow emergencies.

Perform repair and maintenance on land mobile radio equipment to include both mobile and portable radios and base stations.
Maintains electronic and communication systems associated with the delivery of voice, data and video over a system infrastructure.
Troubleshoot electronic equipment and repair to component level.
Solder on multi layer circuit boards both trough hole and surface mount.
Configure and troubleshoot T1 circuits.
Troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues and provide repairs in support of mobile data network.

Graduation from High School or possession of a GED and one year of appropriate technical training in telecommunications.
Experience Requirement: (Must be displayed in Work History section or on attached Resume)
Three years experience performing Information Technology communications maintenance, repair and installation. Experience must include the following:
* Three (3) years professional experience maintaining, repairing and installing Radio (RF) equipment.
Additional appropriate Information Technology experience may substitute for the technical training requirement.
Additional appropriate technical training may substitute for one year of the experience requirement: Except for the required Three (3) years professional experience maintaining, repairing and installing Radio (RF) equipment.
Additional Information: Possession of FCC General Operators License at the time of application is preferred.
Chosen applicants must obtain FCC General Operators License prior to the completion of the probationary period.
Completion of NIMS and ICS training is preferred
