|HR BENEFITS SPECIALIST|
|Organization: City of Lake Worth|
Directly assist the City of Lake Worth Human Resources department in the implementation of the Employee/Retiree benefit strategy, both internally and externally. This position works cross functionally with Finance and other departments on Benefits, Pension, Unemployment and Health & Wellness. This position serves as the primary point of contact with suppliers, providers, and vendors in the benefits arena.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for direct financial and budget responsibility with accountability for ensuring providers are paid appropriately and in a timely manner to minimize Lake Worth’s financial exposure. Duties include; coordinating benefit plans and programs, assisting employees with benefit claims, maintaining up-to-date and thorough knowledge of employee benefit provisions and eligibility requirements, maintaining all active employee and Corba enrollment records, coordinating annual Benefit events and training sessions, and performing other HR support functions as required.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree with two (2) to four (4) years related experience in Human Resources Benefits Administration. Current Florida Driver’s License. Course completion in Benefits Administration or related curriculum strongly preferred. Minimum three (3) to five (5) years in benefit coordination, and A/P background or equivalent. Experience in fast paced, high volume environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
