The City of Overland Park has a Systems Analyst position available in the Information Technology Department. This position will primarily support public safety systems and operations.

Responsibilities: Supports, monitors, administers, and troubleshoots public safety systems and related applications. Assists with configuration tasks with guidance and direction by senior systems analyst or systems architect. Coordinates and manages project tasks as assigned. Assists in the development of requirements and specifications for configuration changes to systems and applications. Writes, tests, and maintains custom reports using standard business intelligence and report writing tools. Assists in the development of training materials and trains users. Answers Help Desk phone calls as required and after hours on call response on a rotational basis.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience. One to two years of experience in commercial off the shelf information system administration and support, preferably related to public safety operations. Must also have a working knowledge of computer and network systems and office productivity software used by the City or an equivalent level of experience. Must be a US citizen and at least 18 years of age and must be able to comply with Kansas Criminal Justice Information System security requirements including a background check. No City residency requirement.

Normal Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri. or as determined by supervisor

Salary Range: $4,056-$5,070/mo
