Job Description

Hours: Full Time 40 Hours/Week, May require occasional evenings and weekends.

Provide primary care to clients within the Women’s Health program; to include prenatal, family planning, basic gynecology.

Functions to include health history, laboratory examinations, physical examinations, prescription of appropriate medication to include contraception methods. Documents client service rendered in each clinic in prescribed manner. Assists in preparation of informational materials for dissemination to clients, professionals, and other agencies. Participates in analyzing prenatal, family planning data for program planning. Participates in development and/or maintenance of quality care standards. Participates in orientation of staff and students. Participates in service education of staff.

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing and certification as an Advance Practice Nurse. Current Illinois licensure as registered professional nurse and as advance practice or Illinois licensure by reciprocity within six months of initial date of employment. This position requires occasional interaction with Spanish speaking clients who have a limited understanding of the English language or who may speak only Spanish. This position will be required to travel regularly between clinic sites throughout Lake County. A valid driver’s license is required.
