Hours: Part Time 18 Hours/Week, First Shift Day Hours

Location: 3004 Grand Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085

Responsible for planning and implementing a treatment plan for intensive outpatient clients on assigned caseload.

Description:

Conducts individual, group, family and other modes of therapy as indicated and a clinician productivity index (CPI) as established by BHS administration. Maintains regular contact with active caseload of 25-35 clients as determined by supervisor. Conducts intake interviews and explains program services to prospective clients. Conducts individual, group, family and other modes of therapy as appropriate to client needs. Refers clients to other staff members and agencies for appropriate services, i.e. employment, medical, social services, legal, vocational, etc. Consults with the supervisor regarding transfer of a client to a different level of service. Monitors the collection of urine specimens and related tasks. Maintains client and program records in accordance with program standards. Participates in case conferences, staff meetings and lectures, services and conference that promote professional development.

Requirements:

With an Associate’s degree with an emphasis in behavioral sciences or related field, three years of experience is required, or with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field, one year of experience is required. A recovering individual must have at least two years of demonstrated sobriety. Must be certified as an Alcohol/Drug Abuse Counselor by the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Board (I.A.O.D.A.P.C.A.) or have equivalent certification by a similar state or national board or be licensed by the State of Illinois as an Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (L.C.P.C.) within 24 months of employment if new to chemical dependency field. Ability to pass CANTS review.
