The City of San Mateo, with a population of 98,298, is one of the largest cities on the Peninsula in the San Francisco Bay Area. The City provides a full range of services and offers over 30 parks, six recreation centers, a golf course, and three libraries. The Economic Development Manager will be tasked with planning and implementing the City’s economic development program, assisting businesses in their dealings with the City, and marshaling resources from within the community to assist the City in attracting and retaining businesses. This position plays a key role in maintaining and expanding a healthy local economy and City tax base. Bachelor’s required along with significant economic development, business or planning experience. Salary range is $117,853 to $140,566 DOQE, CalPERS 2%@55, 3 year final or 2%@62, 3 year final.
