The City of South Lake Tahoe is a general law city governed by a Council/Manager form of government.  The City is a full-service city with a permanent population of just over 21,500 residents.  The City borders the state of Nevada and is approximately 80 miles east of Sacramento and 50 miles southwest of Reno.

 The City Attorney is directly appointed by the City Council and with a small staff is responsible for the administration of all legal affairs of the city.  The City Attorney is also considered a Department Head and serves on the City Manager’s Senior Management team providing advice and counsel regarding strategic policy and problem solving.  Salary range is $133,097 to $161,777 DOQE with competitive benefits.  Please send your cover letter and resume electronically to:
