The City of La Mirada, a distinctive community in the heart of Southern California, has a population of 48,527 living in 7.8 square miles. La Mirada is located in southeast Los Angeles County, immediately adjacent to the Orange County line.

The City of La Mirada is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual who can direct and coordinate the Public Works Department including facility and mechanical maintenance, parks, public streets and rights-of-way, contract services, and environmental management.

This position requires five (5) years of responsible public works management experience in the public sector or a combination of public and private sector experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Studies, Public Administration, or a related field is also required. A Master’s degree is desirable. Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a professional Civil Engineer in the State of California is also desirable.
