The Philadelphia Housing Authority, America's fourth largest public housing authority and leader in real estate development and property management is seeking a Executive Vice President - Community Operations and Resident Development.
PHA houses about 81,000 residents in the City of Philadelphia. The incumbent will provide overall direction and management of the Community Operations and Resident Development Department and will ensure that the Philadelphia Housing Authority provides services that improve the lives of PHA residents and communities through the development and implementation of comprehensive programming and service models to address and support quality of life needs. The incumbent serves as the Community Operations and Resident Development advisor to the Board of Commissioners, President/CEO, Department EVP's, and other stakeholders.
*Comprehensive knowledge of programs, regulations, and directives of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as well as all other applicable Federal and local laws and regulations pertaining to the administration of a full range of resident service programs and initiatives. *Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of social service and community resource programs and initiatives geared toward assisting low income residents. Knowledge of family self-sufficiency and first time homebuyer programs. *Demonstrated ability of the principles and practices of effective program development and administration. *Must have advanced leadership skills with demonstrated management principles.
*Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) from an accredited college or university with emphasis in public administration, business administration, social services or related field. *Minimum of five years professional management experience in program administration in the areas of social, health and community initiatives; at least two years senior level management experience in the affordable housing environment; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
