Under the supervision of the Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC), works collaboratively in the implementation of community mass prophylaxis, organizing exercises, assists in grant status reports, and performs functions with the ERS II; participates in developing staff emergency management roles, participates in corresponding staff education and training, as well as public education on emergency management related topics.
Requires a Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree in Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services or related field. With an Associates Degree, requires at least five years of experience in Emergency Management areas of exercise development, supervision, training and instruction. With a Bachelors degree requires two years of experience in Emergency Management. Emergency response training to be completed within 12 months as required by IDPH. Possession of a valid Driver’s License, supplemented by a satisfactory driving record.
