The City of Irvine is hiring an experienced and enthusiastic individual to serve as the City’s Cashier. The Cashier will perform fiscal related functions such as receiving, verifying and processing all incoming revenue comprised of cash, checks, credit cards and electronic transfer. Cashier duties also include: preparing bank deposits, reconciling deposits from other City departments, scanning receipt documentation, balancing end-of-day reports, updating spreadsheets of statistical information and providing courteous, high quality service to the public and internal customers.
Requires an Associates degree in accounting and two years experience in accounting, bookkeeping or as a cashier, bank teller, or cash vault teller or other similar cashier/teller position, or any equivalent combination.
