Utilizes basic math and fundamental accounting knowledge to collect money, balance cash and receipts for vaccinations given, Immunization Certificates, and accounts payable. Demonstrates teamwork to ensure an efficient and expedient clinic. Demonstrates general computer knowledge base, knowledge of Immunization Program software and computer skills to enter immunization data. Provides ongoing office support including timely and accurate data entry, filing, faxing, copying, scanning, etc. Provides ongoing maintenance of inventory such as office supplies, forms, patient information, etc. Demonstrates effective oral, written, and electronic communication skills. Answers, screens, and directs incoming calls and voice mail messages accurately and appropriately. Schedules appointments and makes reminder phone calls to patients. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with staff, members of the community, local providers and nurses, etc. Attends daytime, evening, weekend, and off-site clinics on a regular rotating schedule. Interprets Spanish/English with general proficiency to client families for the staff. Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities. Participates in staff meetings, in-service trainings and seminars as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires a High School Diploma. Requires two years of general office experience, including billing, accounts receivable, and computerization. Knowledge of computer software: MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook. This position requires interaction with Spanish speaking clients who have a limited understanding of the English language or who may speak only Spanish.
