The annual salary for this position is $113,532 - $153,324, depending upon the qualifications of the selected candidate. The City also offers an attractive benefits package including:
Retirement: CalPERS 2% @ 60 or 2% @ 62 plan, depending upon the employee’s status with CalPERS at time of appointment.
Money Purchase Plan (401a): City contributes 4.5% of base salary with a 5.5% employee contribution.
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance: The City has a cafeteria plan for medical, dental, vision and life insurance in the amount of $750 per month. The City separately pays for long-term disability insurance. Retiree medical and dental coverage is available.
Leave Time: Employees receive 10 set holidays and 3.5 floating holidays. The City has a standard vacation accrual schedule based on tenure with the starting accrual rate negotiated at the time of employment. Employees receive 12 days of sick leave per year, accrued on a monthly basis. Department Heads receive 80 hours of management leave per fiscal year.
Social Security/Medicare: The City does not participate in Social Security, but does participate in Medicare.
The City is currently operating with a furlough program, and the Director of Public Works will take 64 hours of unpaid time off in fiscal year 2013/2014.
