There are (2) regular full-time vacancies in the Construction Management Department.
Under general direction, plans, directs, schedules, oversees, evaluates and participates in the work of staff responsible for providing construction inspection and construction project management services for Agency projects involving construction of new facilities, capital improvements, connections to Agency pipelines, transmission, energy production, and maintenance protection of Agency interceptor systems; serves as project manager on larger and more complex water/wastewater facilities projects; provides technical and functional supervision to lower level construction personnel; and performs related duties as assigned.
This is a supervisory-level class in the construction management series. This class is responsible for the management, supervision and inspection of specific construction projects including upgrades and modifications to existing facilities, the construction of new facilities, and the supervision of consultant work. The work of this class involves significant accountability and independent decision-making responsibilities.
The Construction Project Manager class differs from the Deputy Manager of Construction Management in that incumbents of the former class perform advanced supervisory, professional, and management assignments. Responsibilities and assignments are broad in scope and require substantial independent judgment on issues that are complex and are evaluative in nature. This class reports to the Deputy Manager of Construction Management.
