The City seeks a dynamic problem solver who is comfortable making recommendations for innovative ways to provide services. The Director must be resourceful and creative when evaluating needs versus resources. The City embraces the idea of sharing resources and the next Director will be tasked with maximizing this concept. Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of public sector labor, employment, payroll and benefit laws and their applicability to the City.
Candidates must possess the ability to stay current on the latest changes in laws and regulations and recommend and implement process or reporting modifications as necessary. The City seeks candidates who have experience with benefits administration including evaluating services and costs to provide the greatest return on the City’s investment. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field. In addition, five years of responsible experience in public personnel administration and management, including at least four years in a supervisory/management capacity is required.
The salary for the Human Resources Director is $121,516 - $182,274 annually. The City offers an attractive benefits package.
