Directs daily operation of assigned program including provision of staff, equipment and supplies to achieve patient visit, revenue and expense goals.
Recruits, directs and evaluates program employees to provide services at the targeted level. Develops, implements, updates and monitors, protocols, policies and procedures to ensure services meet program/grant objectives and compliance with Federal/State requirements. Provides ongoing program evaluation including participation in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and monitoring of program/grant goals and objectives. Develops, implements and monitors data collection systems utilizing programs’ computer systems to track, assess, and evaluate program services. Coordinates and integrates assigned program with other Health Department and Community Health Center Programs. Prepares reports on staff activities, client data, and service delivery as required. Prepares and submits grant/budget reports and participates in site reviews. Coordinates and supervises the maintenance of program records and financial reports. Participates in evaluating client satisfaction, outcome and cost effectiveness of program. Maintains a timely communication and training program for staff through meetings, memos and continuing education opportunities based on identified staff competencies. Coordinates the standardization and use of appropriate client education/outreach materials and referral sources. Provides program representation at internal and external meetings and committees. Coordinates orientation/training program for new staff, interns, undergraduate and graduate students. Coordinates program education and outreach strategies for the community. Participates in community assessment related to health needs of Lake County Residents. This position requires frequent interaction with Spanish speaking clients who have a limited understanding of the English language or who may speak only Spanish.
THIS IS A TEMPORARY FULL TIME POSITION
With a Master’s degree, requires two years of experience in general nursing. With a Bachelor’s degree or BS/RN, requires three years of experience in general nursing. With RN, requires five years of experience in general nursing. Current Illinois licensure as a Registered Nurse or Illinois licensure by reciprocity within six months of initial date of employment.
