The City of Commerce, population of 13,000, is a vibrant and growing “Industry Gem” in the heart of Los Angeles County. The City is now seeking an experienced City Clerk who is meticulous, honest, and professional.
Reporting to the City Administrator, the City Clerk is responsible for the coordination and oversight of all duties within the City Clerk’s office and acts as a member of the City’s Executive Team. Candidates will need to have a comprehensive understanding of City laws, statues and ordinances governing the City of Commerce and should possess training and experience equivalent to five years of experience in tasks common to programs carried out by a City Clerk for a municipal or county clerk’s office.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field is required. Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) certification is preferred.
The salary range for the City Clerk is $8,198 to $9,981 monthly and is dependent upon qualifications. The City offers an attractive benefits package.
