The Department of Employment Relations (DER) provides human resources services and oversight for Wisconsin state government agencies. The Division of Merit Recruitment and Selection (DMRS) is a division within DER that administers the Wisconsin civil service system by hiring, recruiting, testing, and evaluating applicants, referring the best qualified candidates to agencies for interviews. DMRS serves over 50 state agencies, 26 University of Wisconsin campuses, and 300 local government across Wisconsin.
