MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Marine Transportation manages the Marine Transportation degree and provides instructional support to other degree programs on campus. Responsible for the coordination and administration of the Commercial Driver Drug and Alcohol Testing Program; Workers' Compensation and Leave Administration issues such as Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Leave Without Pay (LWOP), Sick Leave Pool (SLP), Workers Compensation (W/C), Transitional Duty Assignments (TDAs) Donated Sick Leave (DSL), Parental Leave, Military Leave, and Short/Long Term Disability.
