It provides screening services and treatment of latent TB infection (LTBI) for those who are at highest risk for progression from LTBI to active TB disease. 17th Street Testing, Treatment and Care (TTC) Clinic is a co-located Sexually Transmitted Diseases Clinic and a HIV Ambulatory Care Clinic. TTC provides high quality STD and HIV services including medical care, case management, HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), HIV Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), Rapid Antiretroviral Therapy (Rapid ART), AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), information & education on STD and HIV care, Ryan White eligibility screening, HIV partner services and treatment adherence. Position Summary This position, under the direct supervision of the Nursing Manager, will be called upon to perform administrative and clerical duties in support of student health center operations as well as a variety of standard medical assistance tasks. While working to assist medical providers, the employee is under the supervision of a licensed professional. Medical Assistants perform a variety of medical technical support services within their scope of practice, as defined by the Medical Board of California. Position Summary This position, under the direct supervision of the Nursing Manager, will be called upon to perform administrative and clerical duties in support of student health center operations as well as a variety of standard medical assistance tasks. While working to assist medical providers, the employee is under the supervision of a licensed professional. Job Summary: Palm Desert Campus Location Under the work direction of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses or other similar licensed professionals, the Medical Assistant performs various clinical and medical support functions. Requirements for Deputy Coroner per California Government Code Section 1031: Incumbent will be required to successfully complete a Penal Code 832 (Arrest and Firearms) course and the Coroner’s Death Investigation course within one year of date of hire. This position will be joining the Texas Tech Physicians Family Medicine Clinic, a strong team of 22 Physician Faculty members, 3 PhD Faculty members and 4 Nurse Practitioners. The current Sports Medicine Team is made up of 3 Faculty members and 2 Fellows. This position will work directly with the Fellows including clinical supervision. This position will also have its own Family Medicine Sports Medicine (MSK) Clinic. The Texas Tech Physicians Family Medicine Clinic is committed to providing high quality patient care! The Department of Family Medicine is a team-oriented environment where the patient always comes first. Candidates should have strong clinical and educational skills, a demonstrated commitment to our TTUHSC Values, and proven excellence in mentoring, leadership, and administrative abilities. We are looking for a candidate with musculoskeletal (MSK) experience, including interventional and diagnostic skills. We also prefer proficiency in MSK ultrasound, MSK procedures, and use of orthobiological products. Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. Rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and applicable salary are dependent upon candidate's qualifications and experience. Major/Essential Functions Practice Sports/MSK Medicine Practice general Family Medicine Teach Sports Medicine Fellows Teach residents and medical students Provide Sports Medicine care for local NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 universities and local high schools. This includes care in athletic training rooms and sharing faculty coverage at athletic events. Produce presentations for Sports Medicine lectures to various learners including Sports Medicine Fellows, Family Medicine and Pediatrics and PM&R Residents, Medical Students, Masters of Athletic Training students, and Texas Tech Athletic Training Undergraduate Students. Attend and contribute to weekly Sports Medicine didactics sessions. Actively produce scholarly works including case reports, publishable articles, book chapters, and mentor fellows with scholarly project work.
