Salary: $42,553 - $62,807 per yr
Electricians perform skilled electrical work to maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. The Electrician II will be working under the direct supervision of the Facility Supervisor II and will institute a preventative maintenance schedule to prevent malfunctions and prolong the life of the equipment; establish the priority of repairs; diagnose problems; utilize the appropriate tools to test equipment; estimate job costs; make repairs; document the time and cost for billing purposes; troubleshoot, maintain and repair all electro/mechanical equipment; install, remove and reinstall wiring, computer cables, power panels, etc. in accordance with code requirements; calculate electrical load; and design new circuits based on the load. The position may provide lead work supervision including training, work direction and work review as needed.
