    Why join us?The Intelligence team at DWF is currently hiring for an Intelligence Analyst to join a well‑established specialist function, delivering intelligence‑led investigations across our Insurance and Commercial Practice Groups. You will support a broad range of instructions from areas such as motor, fraud, major injury, corporate insolvency and dispute resolution.Our team produces high‑quality analytical outputs for both civil and criminal investigations, inquests and public inquiries. This includes due diligence, subject profiling, asset tracing, financial analysis, link and timeline analysis, and organisational mapping, supporting clients across insurers, corporates, retailers and government agencies.In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyse complex data from internal systems, industry sources and open‑source intelligence to identify fraud, risk and non‑genuine activity. You will use critical thinking to translate findings into clear, evidence‑based insights that support case investigation, litigation strategy and wider decision‑making.This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with the option of being based from our Manchester or Liverpool office.ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth investigations into individuals, companies, and associated entitiesInterrogate internal and external databases and intelligence systemsIdentify patterns, trends, and risk indicators within complex datasetsApply appropriate analytical techniques based on investigation requirementsAdapt investigations in line with litigation strategyProduce high-quality intelligence reports with clear findings and recommendationsManage workload effectively to meet deadlines and performance targetsWork collaboratively within the investigative teamLiaise with clients, insurers, and external stakeholdersEnsure GDPR compliance and secure data handling at all timesWhat will help you succeed in this role?EssentialAt least one year's experience in an analytical, investigative or intelligence-based role (within the private or public sector), with the ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesA well‑developed analytical approach, with the ability to interpret complex information and produce clear, evidence‑based findings and recommendationsComfortable working with digital tools and systems, including databases and search platforms, alongside good general IT skillsClear and effective written communication skills, including the ability to produce well‑structured reportsDesirableExperience using i2 Analyst's Notebook, iBase or similar analytical toolsBackground in insurance, fraud or counter‑fraud, financial investigations, policing or public sector intelligence, or investigative agencies (applications with transferable experience are welcomed)Practical experience of open‑source research (OSINT), with the ability to work across a range of sourcesWhat we offer?We are committed to ensuring that each member of our team feels valued and duly rewarded during their time at DWF.We are an equal opportunities employer that celebrates diversity and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all.
