    Position Intermediate Counterintelligence Officer – U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE‑IN) contract. Positions based in the Denver, CO area.Responsibilities Conduct CI/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex.Work closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities.Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility.Provide case‑related updates to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), facilities senior management, and other DOE CI executives.Provide CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel regarding foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.Serve as primary point of contact with scientific community departments within the DOE complex to proactively mitigate foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.Requirements Active Top Secret clearance.Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Master's degree desirable.Ten (10) years of experience as a CI Officer/agent conducting typical CI program activities, including CI inquiries and/or espionage investigations.Experience as a primary case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI, or DOD, with advanced interviewing and elicitation techniques.Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.Functional computer literacy and proficiency in common computer and network applications.Compensation $140,000–$180,000 (good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws).Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement benefits, including 401(k) matchingEducational reimbursementParental leaveEmployee stock purchase planTax‑saving optionsDisability and life insurancePet insuranceNote: Benefits may vary based on employment type, location, and applicable agreements.
