The primary goal of each assignment is to ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal security regulations.Key Responsibilities Include:Identifying and reporting actual or potential breaches of airport securityMaintaining clear and professional communication at all timesResponding to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with airport stakeholders and first responders for rapid incident resolutionControlling access to secure airport areasVerifying personal identification and access badges for individuals entering restricted zonesConducting vehicle inspections and access control in designated areasPatrolling both airside and landside zones, including parking lots, construction sites, and aviation officesSupporting traffic flow and managing crowd control in high-traffic areasInteracting professionally and courteously with the traveling publicPreparing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate security recordsIf you're committed to public safety and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply and become part of our trusted airport security team.QualificationsMust be at least 21 years oldMust have a valid State Security License (Virginia)Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United StatesAbility to effectively speak, write, and understand the English languageHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and examsMust have access to reliable transportationAbility to obtain an airport badge with customs seal: DHS requires a 10-year verifiable background check, including criminal and employment history. Must also pass a security threat assessment administered by the TSA.Must be willing and able to participate in pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing with negative results.Work Environment & Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional airport environment. It is an active position, which requires moving around the airport (offices, gates, ramp, etc.).
