This role is central to maintaining and strengthening a financial institution's BSA, AML, and Fraud compliance framework. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in BSA/AML regulatory requirements, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and be prepared to step in for senior compliance leadership when needed. Experienced managing and leading large teams is preferred, also having developed and fine tuned compliance frameworks/SOPs. Coming from commercial banking environments with AUMs of ~$1B+Requirements of the Deputy BSA OfficerMinimum of 10 years of senior level BSA/AML, compliance experience within the banking or financial services industry, with 15+ years preferredIn-depth working knowledge of BSA, AML, CIP, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, and related federal regulationsBachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Finance, or a related disciplineACAMS, CFE, CRCM, or comparable professional certification preferredPrior experience designing and executing risk and compliance programs, including policy and procedure developmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusResponsibilities of the Deputy BSA OfficerAssist senior compliance leadership in overseeing the BSA/AML and Fraud programs, including risk assessments, monitoring strategies, and internal controlsServe as a subject matter expert on BSA/AML-related matters, offering guidance on regulatory updates, high-risk client reviews, and day-to-day compliance questionsSupport the preparation and review of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and coordinate timely escalation of compliance concernsHelp develop and maintain BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with all applicable federal and state requirementsPrepare and present monthly and quarterly compliance metrics and reports to executive managementMentor and coach Financial Intelligence Division team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvementSupport as neededBenefitsBenefits include: healthcare starts on day one, 401k match, 2 weeks PTO accrued after 90 days, discretionary sick days after 90 days, honoring federal holidays.
