From fast-paced, quick-impact projects with the Maine Turnpike Authority to cutting-edge traffic modeling, ITS design, and real-time operational strategies, this role puts you at the forefront of transportation innovation. We offer exposure to diverse, high-impact projects that shape communities and improve lives, along with cutting‑edge tools, technology, and resources to help you succeed, all within a culture that values innovation, ownership, and growth.What You'll Do:Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.Responsible for preparation and/or modification for select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.Able to self‑sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.Performs other duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, orMaster's degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experienceWhat You'll BringA curiosity‑driven mindset: you're excited to learn, grow, and tackle new challenges every day.Ability to apply everything you've learned in school and early career experiences to real‑world, high‑impact projects.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for finding innovative solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills as you move toward opportunities to meet with clients and present findings in a way that is digestible to engineers and the public alike.A desire to make an impact on communities through smarter, safer, and more efficient transportation systems.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with MicroStation.Understanding of traffic analysis programs like HCM, VISSIM, Synchro, or similar tools.Exposure to traffic analysis, modeling, or ITS design concepts.Ability to quickly learn new software and tools, we'll give you the resources, you bring the drive.Enthusiasm for professional development, we'll support your growth every step of the way.If you're ready to move beyond the ordinary and join a team that's shaping the future of mobility, this is your chance.
