Our small family-owned company in Bridgewater, MA is looking for experienced armed security officers to join our team. The Security Officers at CNT are responsible to provide security and protection for the company's personnel and property. This is a permanent part-time position working 10-20 hours per week.Duties and responsibilitiesObserve, identify and inspect (where applicable) all vehicles entering or exiting the property or buildingsProvide physical presence for products received and shipped in dock areas and lobbiesMaintain continuous observations of security cameras on personnel and propertiesProvide protection of personnel and product during the course of product transportation, both in and out of stateGreet visitors in a courteous and professional manner and process as neededOversee the proper lockdown procedures at the end of the day, including properly securing products and ensuring alarms are activatedObserve the behavior and demeanor of employees and visitorsOversee drug testing of employeesRespond to any and all medical or fire emergencies within the property(s)Required to carry a handgun while on dutyPerform other duties as required and assigned based on company needsQualificationsMinimum high school diploma or GED equivalent20 years' experience in public safety (i.e. law enforcement, corrections, military)Investigative background preferredMust be able to obtain and maintain Massachusetts license to carry firearmsAble to obtain and maintain the legal authority to carry firearms out of state preferredMaintain proficiency in firearms through certification and qualification of sidearm's, shotguns, and other weapons as assignedMaintain certification in CPR & AEDPossess skills acquired during prior training and experience to handle responsibilities and leadership during emergency situations.Possess basic computer skillsMust maintain a Drivers LicenseAbility to be flexible in a changing work environmentAbility to work professionally and ethically in all circumstancesAbility to multi-task and manage time wellMust be able to pass an extensive background checkRandom drug testing requiredFluency in English, both written and oralWorking conditionsThis job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is an open office and warehouse environment with a significant amount of background noise and movement. All locations contain cameras in all work areas and are staffed with security guards and some employees who carry firearms.
