This position will work to foster positive relationships with students and the learning community while also working in tandem with existing administrative practices and building procedures to maintain order, prevent crime, and assist the building administration with operations on school property or at school‑sponsored events when necessary.CAMPUS ASSIGNMENT WILL BE IN THE DALLAS AREAQualificationsEducation / Certification: Bachelor's degree preferred or qualifying prior military, law enforcement, or security experience.Bilingual PreferredTexas Level III or Level IV Security certification, Texas license to carryValid Texas driver's licenseStrong people and process management skillsSuccessfully pass background investigation, drug/alcohol screening, and mental health evaluationCombination of education and experience acceptable if it provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Job Duties & AccountabilitiesEnsure the security, safety, and well‑being of all personnel, visitors, and premises.Patrol and monitor assigned areas to deter, detect, report, and stop violations.Secure premises and personnel by controlling entry and screening all visitors per policy.Detect, investigate, and report unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities.Monitor surveillance and alarm systems; communicate necessary information to prompt investigation.Notify administrative staff, police, fire department, or other authorities of emergencies.Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.Assist with planning, coordinating, and working special events and projects.Assist the building administration with school operations.Assist with investigations as needed (e.g., crimes on school property).Work closely with law enforcement agencies for training initiatives.Make rapid decisions during stressful situations.Respond to incoming security calls and investigate to determine cause, then take appropriate action.Assist injured persons and take appropriate action in a timely manner.Regularly patrol perimeter and facilities; ensure access limited to approved points.Supervise or provide crowd control for events to ensure compliance with safety procedures and policy.Maintain CPR, first aid, Stop the Bleed, and other certifications.Carry and use all security weapons, including a firearm, in accordance with protocols.Qualify with a firearm according to district requirements; satisfy annual training/certification.Experience & KnowledgeExcellent problem solving and people management skills.Above average computer skills with MS Office and monitoring software.Responsible and professional leadership.Ability to review and evaluate procedures and recommend improvements.High‑level customer service to schools and community.Prepare and brief sensitive information reports.Knowledge of technical communication systems during daily operations and emergencies.Ability to multitask while using a computer and monitoring technology outlets.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.Equipment UsedPersonal computer, typewriter, printer, calculator, copier, fax machine, and shredder.Working ConditionsAbility to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, walk for extended periods, run short periods, lift up to 50 lbs.
