The scope of this Contract requires specialized expertise in areas such as high-performance computing (HPC), automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. The IT infrastructure consists primarily of Linux, with some Windows, and UNIX. The environment includes a variety of network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and essential supporting infrastructure services. The services provided under this Contract support areas including HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software.
AT&T has an opening for a Technical Network Expert to support in design, implementation, and sustainment of high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This role provides critical expertise in network design, advanced troubleshooting, and system integration across Linux, Windows, and UNIX infrastructures. The Technical Network Expert will play a key role in enabling AT&T to deliver innovative, mission critical solutions to our customer. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Work to be performed at a government customer site.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides Tier 4 Lustre support to the HPC team, delivering advanced storage architecture, configuration, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting.
Required skills include installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of:
Virtualization platforms: VMware, Xen, and Solaris containers.
Cloud/data storage implementations: Hadoop and IBM BigInsights.
Linux/UNIX storage support: RedHat, SUSE, and Solaris (file service and Fibre Channel connectivity).
Storage architecture experience.
Platforms and appliances: SGI IRIX; SGI systems; NetApp clusters and storage appliances (direct-attached and FC SAN storage).
Clustered file systems: GPFS and Lustre.
FC networking: Brocade Fibre Channel switch fabrics.
Enterprise storage arrays and SSD.
NAS protocols/appliances: NFS/CIFS-based server/storage appliances.
Storage tools: HPSE; Data Domain and similar deduplication products.
Incident and ticket management: Remedy.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (#ts/sci) (#polygraph)
Required Qualifications:
Candidates shall have a Bachelor's Degree in related field and have ten (10) years of demonstrable experience (15 years experience without degree) in support of a large client-server based IT enterprise.

Our Technical Expert/Functional Expert - Storage (Government) earns between $89,200 - $217,170 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
