Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values and Mercy Services Standards.Position Details Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room under RN supervision according to established standards.Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care.Coordinate patient care with other departments.Protect patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.Uphold Mercy Mission, Values and Services Standards in all duties.Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.Licensure: EMT-P training graduate and licensed in the state of practice.Experience: Experienced or new paramedic.Physical Requirements/Demands: Stand/walk most of the time on duty; significant bending, lifting and moving patients.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association; may be required prior to hire or obtained during orientation period.Other Certifications: One or more of the following may be required based on position/department: ACLS, PALS.Preferred Experience: Minimum one year paramedic experience.Preferred Certifications: (none specified in original content).Why Mercy?
