    What You Will Work OnCrisis24 seeks a Security Operations Specialist to join our Annapolis, MD Global Operations Center, supporting live operations, proactive threat monitoring, and emergency response tasks. This includes the coordination and oversight of various global operations involving emergency safety support, evacuation, security and protection tasks in high-risk and challenging locations, the proactive threat monitoring of client personnel and assets globally, and the compilation of threat information and mitigation advice. The position holder works a day, rotating a 9‑hour shift pattern, from 0700‑1600 with a one‑hour break. You must be responsible, diligent, composed under pressure, and have demonstrated high‑quality written and verbal skills.Support the research and assessment of a threat environment for proposed task/travel, using a range of privileged and open‑source platforms/research networksPrepare, compile, and distribute travel security advice and risk assessments before or during client travel to higher‑risk locationsSupport the research and delivery of pre‑travel briefings and presentations to a range of travelers (including deploying expats, academia, NGOs, corporate travelers, C‑suite, etc.)Brief on current threats, associated risks and suggest safety measuresMonitor requests and supply the content to global travel security requests from deployed personnel, in‑country travelers, clients, and on‑the‑ground security teamsProvide travel security & emergency advice, mitigation measures, and recommendations to travelers, clients, and organization points of contactUtilizing open‑source intelligence, proactively monitor the security situation in locations where assets are located and conduct regular checks to confirm the well‑being of personnelSupport the coordination of ad hoc travel security, secure transport, and protection tasksSupport security response contingency planningKeeping superiors apprised of escalating situationsAssist with research and review of deteriorating locations, identifying potential exit routes, transport hubs, relocation sites, border crossings and the compilation of associated mapping and information to aid preparationUtilize tracking platforms to monitor events and action at risk notificationsInitiate mass communications and confirm welfare statusReact to major security incidents by providing immediate support and advice, ensuring the safety of potentially affected assets, and producing situation reports for client awarenessRespond to Special Risk (Kidnap, Ransom & Extortion) calls, gathering the key information and quickly escalating internally to the specialist departmentSupport the delivery of tracking solutionsMonitor & react to system notifications and customer messagesOut of hours, provide first response to activations & issuesSupport the coordination and communication of security, evacuation, and emergency tasksProvide operational and tactical intelligence support (including location monitoring, information collation & threat mapping) to live operations, including emergency evacuations, crisis, and incident response tasksSupport the compilation of post‑operational reports for internal (lessons identified & learnt) and external (marketing & case study) purposesDocumenting and logging in historical archivesFollow and adhere to Crisis24 security, response & client standard operating proceduresAdhere to Company policies, with a focus on Information Security and Data ProtectionRetain and understand a familiarization of Crisis24 servicesSpecific understanding and knowledge of security department services, procedures, systems, and client & partner relationshipsProvide day‑to‑day support and guidance to new front‑line staff and Security Specialists, ensuring consistency, competence & efficiency in security‑related response handling and operational tasksStrive to deliver the highest standards of service to customersHighlight and contribute recommendations for improved performance, process, and service deliverySupport the training, coaching, and mentoring of new startersParticipate in Global Operations Centre drills and exercisesAd hoc travel security, safety and operationally related tasks, duties, and support as required by the Head of Security, UKWho You Will Work WithThe successful candidate will work as part of a team of Security Operations Specialists within our Global Operations Centre and the role requires close collaboration between team members to deliver on tasksThe Security Operations Specialists work closely with the Management team, who will both provide support and instructionDuring complex tasks, the Security Operations Specialists work alongside Operations Managers to plan, run, and deliver operational support to clientsAs part of a global team, the role also regularly works closely with Crisis24 colleagues in various locations to help deliver services to clients, both internal and externalWhat You Will BringNative / Fluent English reading and written ability requiredAdditional language skills (verbal and written) are an advantageEffective presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English;
