    Dispatcher

    Transdev in Lancaster, California is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients.We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

    CBA Position:

    Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

    • $22.11/hour - $25.00/hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

    • Starting pay $22.11/hour with progression to $25.00/hour over4years.

    Benefits include:

    • Vacation:70 hours to 120 hours days per year

    Paid Sick Leave:All non-probationary dispatchers and customer service representatives who work thirty (30) or more days per year shall receive twenty-four (24) hours of sick leave on January

    • 1 of each calendar year.; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.

    Benefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.

    • Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.

    • Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.

    • Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.

    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.

    • 3-5 years' experience dispatching preferred

    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.

    • Problem solving and analytical skills.

    • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

    • Ability to manage time effectively and work in a diverse environment.

    • Ability to adapt to changing situations and willingness to help in a variety of situations.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

    • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

    • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
