Reviews inspection findings with the person in-charge of each kitchen and interviews food service personnel to appraise the effectiveness of the facility training program and to ensure their knowledge of correct procedures governing food preparation and safety precaution; reports inspection findings to management. Plans and develops the master menu and uniform procedures, practices and standards for all food service operations and monitors their implementation by line management. Monitors food service operations provided by vendors to ensure compliance with contract provisions. Prepares and publishes food menus, including special diet menus for use throughout the Probation Department and consults with nutritional experts to ensure a variety of pleasing and nutritionally balanced meals for juvenile wards. Consults with and advises departmental administrators on the design and layout of new or remodeled food service facilities, the development of specifications for new food service equipment and training needs of food service personnel. Confers with Internal Services Department representatives and food vendors to keep informed about new food products and food price trends; modifies menus and food orders to add or delete food items to take maximum advantage of market conditions. THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION Summer Camp Manager I [Lake Allatoona - Programming] Salary: $17.50 General Description and Classification Standards Under direction, plans, organizes and administers a City Recreational Summer Camp; manages camp program operations, administration, facilities, and recreational programs for campers; performs related work as required. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a City Recreational Summer Camp at the campsite, including directing the food service, maintenance, recreation, administration, and medical services. OR • One-year experience (or equivalent summer sessions) in a residence recreational summer camp at a level equivalent to the City’s Camp Staff Supervisor. • Must pass background check for criminal and child protective findings. • Must pass a drug screening. Licensures and Certifications • Must be able to travel to various locations within the City of Atlanta and to the camps to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. Additional recreation or camp experience may be substituted on a year- for-year basis for up to two (2) years of the education requirement. OR One-year experience (or equivalent summer sessions) in a residence recreational summer camp at a level equivalent to the City’s Camp Staff Supervisor. Position Summary Under the direction of the Student Health Services Administrative Manager, the Referrals Coordinator will be responsible for processing all new patient referrals initiated from Student Health Services providers. This includes, but is not limited to coordinating appointments for patients, ensuring clinical documentation is complete and received for and from the referring provider, initiating health plan enrollment, establishing and maintaining relationships with specialists and imaging services, and developing systematic methods to address, improve and coordinate services to completion for our students. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining relationships internally and externally with peers, community partners, including hospital systems, ensuring that all new patients are given the resources to be seen and supported. The Referral Coordinator will work closely with the Medical Director and Lead Physician, the referral coordinator will also collaborate with campus departments including the Economic Crisis Response Team to identify students in food, housing or financial crises and Wellness and Health Promotion Department to provide patient education around healthy habits and health literacy. The referral coordinator will work directly with patients and peers to keep referrals moving forward proactively. The referral coordinator will also assist with coverage for students scheduled to enroll with Family PACT and assist with billing and claims when needed. Position Description Under direction of a supervisor or management, performs a variety of operational, supportive, and administrative duties within assigned division of the District Attorney’s Office; provides information and services to crime victims and witnesses; provides trial support; coordinates victim and witness court appearances; and performs related work as required. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS District Attorney Services Specialist I This is the entry-level class for District Attorney Services Specialist series. Incumbent will process reports and documents in strict adherence to State law and Department procedures. Incumbent is expected to keep current on changes in report and document processing requirements. Incumbent will operate a Departmental case management system and related systems in strict accordance with the law. This class series requires the ability to provide appropriate information and answer basic questions from the public related to the criminal justice system, both in-person and over the telephone. District Attorney Services Specialist II This is the journey level position within the series. In addition to the above, incumbents will be assigned to more increasingly difficult tasks within the Department, including being responsive to the needs of victims of crimes, demonstrating sensitivity to and establishing rapport with victims of crime, and exhibiting emotional stability under conditions of high stress. Incumbents will be able to assist victims in recovering their personal property held in evidence, facilitate victim compensation applications, and provide court accompaniment. Incumbent is eligible for assignment to the Victim Services division, wherein Incumbent must successfully complete required trainings and must exhibit a high level of understanding of the specific duties and prohibited activities under prevailing program restrictions, including VOCA regulations, State and Federal grantor regulations, and the Penal Code. District Attorney Services Specialist III This is the advanced level position within the series. In addition to the above, responsibilities require the frequent use of initiative and independent judgment in scheduling and coordination of office activities and in dealing with sensitive assignments. Incumbents are responsible for the more complex assignments, including vertical assignments to a trial team in complex and high-profile cases, and work with greater independence from close review. Incumbents can work effectively with victims, witnesses, and prosecutors with limited supervision in more serious cases and in rapidly changing situations and circumstances. Incumbents may arrange for transportation, escort, and support for witnesses and victims during court appearances in more serious cases. District Attorney Services Specialist IV This is the senior level position within the series. In addition to the above, incumbents will work with minimal review, may be assigned to carry out special assignments in support of the assigned division, and may be part of complex multi-disciplinary teams. Incumbents may be tasked with collecting data and preparing reports for their assigned division of the Department and may act in a lead capacity by providing training and guidance to subordinates and developing and maintaining special programs. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of case activities; provides victims, witnesses, and others with information, education regarding the criminal justice system. Reviews reports from law enforcement agencies and contacts victims or witnesses as directed; accurately and timely documenting contact; maintaining contact as directed. Responds to crime scenes, once deemed secure, as directed, to offer victim assistance or provide services. Performs outreach services to victims; make presentations and provide victim centered training to partner agencies, make public presentations and conduct publicity. If assigned to Victim Services division, prepares functional time sheets and record keeping to ensure compliance with prevailing program restrictions. Position Description This is an extra-hire, 24 hour/week position from late April through mid-November. Under general supervision offers varied technical and administrative support to Agricultural Biologist/Standards Inspectors performing routine inspections, enforcing agricultural and weights and measures programs and projects. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: This is a technical support class performing a variety of field and office duties in support of Agricultural and Weights and Measures programs and projects. Assists licensed staff in inspection of fruits, vegetables, nuts, honey, eggs and other agricultural commodities in markets, packing houses and storage areas for compliance with regulations relating to standards and grades. As directed, inspects nurseries and seeds for compliance with laws and regulations. As directed, applies pesticides as appropriate for the control of weed, insect and vertebrate pests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Assists with inspections of incoming and certain outgoing shipments of plant material for evidence of disease, insect and weed pests which are prohibited. As directed, inspects apiaries for honeybee diseases and other pests. Assists with inspections of nurseries for compliance with regulations relating to labeling, grades and standards of cleanliness. Assists with inspection and testing of commercial weighing and measuring devices for compliance with laws and regulations. Assists in inspection of licensed weighmasters for compliance with established laws and regulations. Prepares and conducts appropriate training sessions.
