ABOUT THE POSITION The Clark County Building Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Building Inspector position. As a member of the Building Department, you will perform a variety of professional commercial, industrial, residential building, and safety inspections of new and existing properties for compliance with national and regional codes and regulations. This position is used on several different teams. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in using a computer keyboard. The position also requires near and far vision when performing tasks such as field inspections, in reading written reports and work related documents and using a computer. Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal customer service. The need to lift, drag, carry and push equipment, tools and supplies up to 25 pounds is also required. Position Summary The Facilities Maintenance Specialist performs preventative maintenance and repair of heating, cooling, ventilation systems, household appliances, and other building equipment such as lights, plumbing, and office furniture.
