General Description and Classification Standards Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor, the Security Officer is responsible for consistent and documented daily roving patrols, physical security inspections of facilities, providing a safe and secure environment for employees and clients in City facilities, ensuring accountability, and deterring intruders and theft. EXAMINATION COMPONENTS THE EXAMINATION WILL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING STEPS: A review of applications to verify possession of minimum requirements, including the attachment of a typing certificate with 30 net words per minute (wpm). Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications for the class will move onto the next examination component. A written examination, which will be qualifying only; pass/fail.
