Job Description

Mental Health Counselors provide counseling, case management, direct clinical services, community and home based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient, residential, community or similar setting. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This recruitment is for several clinicians at Nevada Youth Training Center (NYTC) with the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) in Elko. Mental Health Counselors in this setting complete clinical assessments; treatment planning; provide individual, family and group counseling; and provide case staffing and management for youth who are placed in this DCFS juvenile justice residential correctional facility.
