What You'll Be Doing Are you a library professional with a passion for working with children and seeking part time employment (20 hours per week)? WCPL is hiring a part-time Youth Services Librarian for North Regional Library, located in North Raleigh, to create and deliver quality programming for children and work on a busy service desk offering reference, readers’ advisory and circulation assistance. Librarians are offered the opportunity to collaborate with managers and peers; and participate in system initiatives, though on a more limited basis with a part time schedule. Key Responsibilities of a part-time Youth Services Librarian: Plan, promote and present programs for children and families Work directly with the public on a service desk providing excellent customer service Work with Library Assistants assigned to assist in the delivery of programs This Librarian will work with school-age children and will work the following schedule: Monday 12-6 PM Tuesday 4:15-9:15 PM Wednesday 1-5 PM Friday 1:15-6:15 PM *If working a Saturday or Sunday, weekday shifts are altered to keep within 20 hours.
