The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Social Media Officer in the department of Government and Public Affairs. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, coordinates development and implementation of social media communications for the City, maintains positive relations between the public and the City, manages social media initiatives across all departments citywide and performs related duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS/ASSESSMENT INFORMATIONDOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION:1)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major course work in public relations, marketing, journalism, communications, or a closely related field
- Five (5) years of full-time experience in public relations, social media, marketing, journalism, or communications
- Desirable: Experience as a reporter/writer and on-camera talent with primary responsibility for posting to social media
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
