The purpose of the class is to perform skilled work in the inspection, operation and maintenance of the County-owned wastewater treatment facility bio-solids process; and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed, and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Requires high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training; technical diploma is desirable. Must possess a valid state driver's license; may require a CDL license. Must have or be able to obtain a Class C wastewater treatment plan operator license within six months of employment; must obtain a Class A biological wastewater treatment operator's license within 60 months of employment. Requires over three year and up to and including five years.
