The Position Under general direction, Accounting Clerks perform accounting clerical duties involved in processing and maintaining general accounting and accounts payable records. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS Accounting Clerk: This is the entry level position in the class series. Process all corrections/adjustments related to invoice numbers, POs, and coding distribution. Prepare quarterly Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) reporting and track lobbying staff hours for Public Affairs as part of the state requirement. Accounting Clerk, Sr. CalOptima CalOptima Health is seeking a highly motivated an experienced Accounting Clerk, Sr. to join our team. Under general direction, the Accounting Clerk Sr will be responsible for performing general accounting and administrative support duties for various specialties including accounts payable (A/P) and account reconciliations. The incumbent will coordinate work with external vendors and various departments within CalOptima Health to ensure that payments are processed timely, accurately and efficiently. Reviews incoming vendor invoices received via e-mail or mail. Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
